Tomtefamiljen från Storskogen (The Gnome Family from the Big Forest)
These well-known figurines have been around since 1942 and are now a Swedish craftsmanship classic. With the Gnome Family, the designer Irma Yourstone may very well have reached out to the Swedish people’s souls. Collecting a whole family has become a tradition in many Swedish homes.
Pepparkaksfigurer (Gingerbread Figurines)
The gingerbread figurines were initially just called Gubbe (Old Man) and Gumma (Old Woman) and were painted in slightly different colors. Those figurines had no character and were no success at all. But now they are loved by many.
Luciatåget (Lucia)
Lucia with its ensign lights up the Nordic winter darkness in December. These figurines have existed for as long as the Gnome Family, but may have shadowed by it.
Vårfigurer (Spring Figurines)
Spring is a hectic time. There is a lot to be remembered before the summer takes place. You are confirmed in the Church, you graduate and you may marry.
